Mc Kenna’s Bar
Mc Kenna’s Bar is a well known family run pub established in 1936. It’s situated on Dublin Street, Monaghan. It has 2 bars, the Anchor Bar and the Brewery.
The Anchor Bar is located on the ground floor which has a real genuine pub atmosphere. There is a Jukebox which has an extensive library to choose from and while you are enjoying your favourite tunes, why not have a game of pool ! Mc Kenna’s also hosts an annual North Monaghan area Pool Competition for all you hustlers out there, please see this page for details.
Upstairs is the Brewery, this is the live venue, which hosts rock, blues & alternative bands and DJ’s. It also hosts a number of regular events such as the Monaghan Blues Jam that takes place on the last Friday of every month. Check out the Brewery’s myspace page.
